JobAut Coaching Methodology for Autistic People
The JobAut Coaching Methodology supports job coaches and professionals in guiding autistic adults towards meaningful, personalised and sustainable employment pathways.
This e-learning course introduces a structured approach that combines person-centred assessment, ICF-based functional profiling, job matching and empowerment coaching. Through practical guidance and operational tools, learners will discover how to support autistic people in recognising their strengths, identifying their support needs and building realistic pathways towards work and independent life planning.
The course is designed for professionals working in vocational education and training, health and social care services, employment support and inclusion services.
The JobAut Coaching Methodology is a structured and neurodiversity-affirming framework developed to improve the inclusion of autistic adults in the open labour market.
The methodology is based on a holistic understanding of job placement: employment is not seen only as the result of matching a person to a vacancy, but as a process that requires trust, functional understanding, environmental adaptation, empowerment and continuous support.
Through this course, learners will explore the full JobAut pathway. The first step is the Placement Feasibility Interview, a structured and person-centred dialogue used to understand the coachee’s personal narrative, strengths, aspirations, barriers and support needs. The second step focuses on ICF-based assessment and job matching, translating qualitative information into a functional profile that can support the identification of suitable work contexts. The third step introduces the FROG-based coaching process, which helps autistic adults strengthen self-awareness, motivation, communication, autonomy and action planning.
The e-learning platform provides access to the main project results, including the JobAut Methodology, the JobAut Toolkit and the training materials developed for job coaches. It is intended as both a learning space and a practical reference point for professionals who wish to apply the JobAut approach in real employment and support contexts.
