From assessment to empowerment
The role of the ICF within the JobAut methodology does not end with the construction of the functional profile. On the contrary, it continues to play a central role in the transition from assessment to empowerment.
Once the individual’s functioning has been mapped in a structured and objective way, this information becomes a valuable resource for the coaching phase. The profile provides a clear and concrete representation of strengths, challenges, and contextual factors, which can be used to support reflection and decision-making.
In this way, the ICF serves a dual purpose. On the one hand, it supports technical processes such as job matching. On the other hand, it contributes to the coachee’s self-awareness by making their functioning visible and understandable.
This integration ensures that the empowerment process is not detached from the assessment phase, but is directly grounded in the evidence collected. As a result, the pathway towards employment becomes both realistic and meaningful, aligning the coachee’s aspirations with their functional profile and the opportunities identified in the labour market.
